Almost exactly a year ago 1+/- day I was having what I thought was my period. What really was happening was my body was preparing for a miscarriage. I found it odd I was having a period, as I have PCOS or polycystic ovary syndrome, and wasn't experiencing periods except on provera. Weeks before I was getting married I found out I had this. Except, I don't have cysts on my ovaries. This PCOS is a name for many causes of infertility and cases that fall under this name are different everywhere you look. Weeks before November 2011 I had an ultrasound. One to rule out the problems. Nothing showed up on it. Though my doctor let me know I still have this PCOS. I started on a medicine regimen, I lost weight, YAY! Flash forward to September 2012 where we bought a house. Woohoo!

January 2013 Bam! 1/11/13-1/12/13 I had bad cramps (never happens with a period for me) so strange. Late at night sitting at my desk playing Minecraft with my husband and his best friend, I got up. Not being able to handle the cramps, I started walking away towards my bathroom. As I was walking away I felt worse and stayed in the bathroom for a long time. By 1 am I was dozing in and out and felt dizzy. We called 911, I thought I was going to pass out. Extremely close to it, my husband was on the phone with the dispatcher and I tried to stay alert. Before I knew it the firefighters/paramedics were at the house. Eventually, they told us I needed to go to the hospital right away. We opted to drive ourselves and go right away. Our friend thankfully watched the kids for us. They were fast asleep and had no idea what was happening. Meanwhile, neither did I. Since I had PCOS and given my history of 4+ years of infertility I didn't know why this was happening. We found out that I was pregnant and miscarried at around 6 weeks. My husband and I drove home around 8 am after a long day of no sleep we wept together in our bed.

Our friend stayed with us for weeks to help us out with taking care of things. It took me 3 weeks to be able to lift something. He helped me from grocery shopping to making dinner. We truly couldn't thank him enough. My husband and I agreed that we would repay the favor if he ever needed help in a family emergency. I don't just mean help but be there exactly how he was there for us.

The silver lining in this chaos was that we COULD get pregnant. I know that we lost a baby but we were in shock that I was even pregnant. From this news we talked to my doctor and after some time healing. We wanted to try again. Our baby angel gave us hope when we didn't have any. Even though he or she is not on earth with us, we know our angel is watching over us, taking care of us, and reminding us life is a miracle. Without having that glimmer of hope we wouldn't have K or our angel.

In loving memory of our angel baby 1/12/13

8 Weeks Post Partum

Last time I wrote about my pregnancy was 16 weeks ago. In pregnancy terms for me at 16 weeks I was still accepting the fact that I was carrying my RAINBOW baby! It was a tough time for me. I waited a LONG time for a baby! My oldest is 7 going to 8 soon. If we do decide to have another I pray we don't wait another 7 years. I was patient. Still am. We were shocked when we found out we were pregnant, yet miscarrying.

I am writing as little miss K lays against my chest. I love her! Adoring every little bit about her. The two of us have a routine down but we both don't care if it gets messed up. As long as we have big brother in the right place at the right time. My favorite thing is watching them interact with each other. He is very paternal and nurturing. So far transitioning from 1 to 2 kids has gone great! Even when my stepdaughter comes over for the weekend everything has gone smoothly.

We cosleep, cloth diaper, baby wear, and breastfeed. These are all going great so far! Which is different from the first time around 7 years ago. Almost 8. Phew! Time has flown.

Halo 3 for free (XBOX Gold Live Members only)

Halo 3 is now free from October 16-31 2013. We have used this program from Microsoft in the past to get Assassins Creed for free. Which prompted my husband to indulge into the Assassins Creed story line. My son loves Halo 4 and enjoys playing the Halo series. This is an awesome deal if you don't have the game. You need to be a Gold Live member in order for you to get the game for free. For more information visit http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/games-with-gold and also visit http://slickdeals.net/f/6313262-free-digital-download-halo-3-games-with-gold-xbl-gold-members-from-oct-16th for more information about map packs. I find a majority of good deals using Slickdeals website.

32 Weeks Pregnant

At 32 weeks into my pregnancy we have not yet decided on a name. I feel crazy for not knowing yet. At the same time I am alright with not knowing yet, though I do have a few front runners. We shall see!

Baby's heartbeat sounded great today! She is measuring a little large but Dr. will keep an eye on that. Maybe she will be a tall one like her brother.

I love raisins, celery, birthday cake Oreo, and meat. Especially Jimmy John's sandwiches. YUMMY! I also like ranch dip from Fred Meyer. Those foods are what I crave on occasion.

Finally, I am meeting with our doula this Friday which is exciting and our first prenatal meeting! Looking forward to meeting with her.

P.S. I ordered more cloth diapers for my stash last week. :)
